Default Short billed dowitcher (I think!)

After making a 'deliberate mistake' with my last Florida shorebird title I asked on here for a better ID and a Short Billed Dowitcher was suggested, so that's what I'm going with today!

This is from the lagoon just off North Beach at Fort Desoto, when I had great fun lying prone to get as low to the water line as I dared.

Nice pose and I like the layers of color in the BG, well done.

I really like the pose mid-stride. The bird appears sharp with nice details, catchlight and control of whites. The creamy foreground and background is very pleasing. All in all, lovely! On teeny nit...the white spec under the tail..in the blue area.

Superb background, and you've got my kind of low angle going on here. The foot dragging the water surface is a neat touch.

Great low angle, super pose and beautiful BG, well done Mike. I may be tempted to do a slightly looser crop. Cheers. Rich

Hi Mike, lovely low angle, and I like the soft light and pastel colours. Maybe a bit off the bottom.
