The Indian Blue Peacock is a well-known bird and many pictures have been created of it. This is a little different... Fractalius of course, before Topaz Glow came along!

Looks like a beautiful stained glass window. Nice. The shading/light in the circles of the tail feathers really does look like eyes.

Hazel said it. Pure stained glass. (if I remember, blue was the hardest color to do well in the medieval cathedrals)

Gorgeous -- it evokes the Blue Hour without being too dark.

Love it! But then, blue is my most favorite color, and this blue is stunning! The black and blue work so very well together. Was there any way to retain just a bit more definition to the head? Did you use both Fractilius and Glow? I have the new version of Fractilius and haven't spent enough time with it to figure it out. And, I don't have Glow.

Thanks Anita, I could have masked back the head for sure, but I liked to imagine that the picture was made from broad brush strokes so there wouldn't be much detail. I will take a look at that option though. This was all Fractalius, as I made this image before Glow came out. I find the Fractalius program to be too hard to use - not very user-friendly but I know that some here have become very proficient at using it. I like Glow a lot, it seems much easier to use and has the full-screen preview which I like a lot.
