    Jim:

He looks rather mournful! Nice subject isolation, with the low angle softening the busy field background. Great eye contact, like the slightly off center comp.

    Cheers

    Helo Jim!

I love owls and I do find this frame incredibly attractive due to the pose and "solemnity" of your subject. Those penetrating yellow eyes are quite fascinating...

Well exposed and very sharp for 1/160s, wondering what the beak looks like under those cute feathers and somehow I cannot help it but think of a miniature snow-man looking at this character!

Superb capture, made me smile despite the serious look on this owl's face, I enjoyed looking at this frame for quite some time and I find it truly delightful

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Jim. Lovely image and a great POV. I like the 'coldness' about the image. Even the owl looks cold. Looks like a penguin in owls clothing Nice control of the whites, the eyes really pop against the colours surrounding them. Well done and thanks for sharing

Lovely photo! Well exposed. I can't help but think of the advice "Grow where you are planted".

Very nice ground level shot, not a view I'm used to seeing. Very simplistic but it works beautifully, excellent work

Very pleasing image with a lot of details, and it's fun to see this species in something other than snow!

    Jim
    This is just stunning IMO.
Love the dreary environment and the owl's eyes. Man, they rock.
    Great work and TFS

I have to echo Dan statement. Simple but very pleasing to the eye. Nice "different" environment.
When I saw this I had to chuckle at my stupidity. I have been thinking all month that I don't have any white bird photos that are good enough for the theme but I completely forgot about snowy owls being white! Duh...
