Another rainy one from last weekend. Don't think the gull thought much of the weather either

Thanks for looking and the comments on the Ringed Plover, much appreciated

A nice low profile pose and some great looking green water make this one different. I might add a little to the left but otherwise a well exposed image of this gull.

That's an interesting shot Will - typical BHG pose this time of year

fine rain almost looks like it's cold enough to "snow" - but I suppose that it is Scotland

the more you watch BHG's the more you see

Really good shot, good details and the bg with the fine rain adds to the image

I am in two minds about your crop Will! I think more room behind and all around (3:2) would be better - at least for my taste.
Great shot with the light rain drops. Your light for this sort of image is perfect IMO, as it also sets the right mood for the image.
    Excellent POV and BG.

Thanks for sharing mate, really well done!

I like your comp. This is an image that would look good with multiple comps.
All boils down to personal preference for this one.
Excellent exposure on the whites and the rain and raindrops on the tail really add a lot to the image.
I am wondering about the brown color on the head. Is this a juvie or is a color correction needed to make the head black?

Will I really like these atmospheric shots that you are posting, fine rain droplets on the wings add to the overall effect, very nice.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Hi Gail, the black headed gulls actually have a chocolate brown coloured head
