Not the best setting I know hope the birds make up for it, did think about cleaning it up a bit but that is how it was.

Thanks for taking a look and your comments and tips on my Snipe images, much appreciated.

    Hi Keith,
Birds are lovely and I like the way they are both looking in the same direction.
Of course I would prefer a better perch but appreciate seeing these cutie-pies side by side,

Hey Keith, all looking good, great to see the young are out and about, so signs are all positive for the future. I wouldn't clean things up as I think it will show and take too much time. Just watch that SS, think about ISO3200 at least, IQ won't be lost and you'll be better off. Would crop a fraction on the RHS so you haven't got the very fine strip of wood creeping in, echo the LHS.

Great looking baby Kestrels and the shot looks nice with good exposure and details. I would get ready for some fun flight frames of these guys when they fledge in about a week or so. Well done.

Mate, the D4 is an a s s -kicking body for high ISO, well that's what my photography nut mate tells me. Have no fear of higher ISO values.

Love the scene, it is natural, as is and I don't mind the poop. That's life for birds. The way they're looking in the same direction is great.

Well done and thanks for sharing this lovely moment with the youngins.

You've really made your chicks stand out here with terrific feather details. While in a perfect world, it would be great to see them in a natural setting, the fact is, they often nest in boxes. I think you've done well telling their story.
