Hi all another fresh one from my recent short trip to Helgoland .
One of the smaller males coming to the beach by surfing the small waves , makes it easier for them to get onto the beach .

Nicely captured with the 2 eyes visible and the splash drawing me in, Andreas.
I just wonder if it would not be better suited to B&W given the very brigth splashed up water?

Hi Andreas - Nice low pov and blue/cyan tones. I find myself wanting a bit more to the left and below so as to include the whole seal and to give it a bit more room below. You said this is about 65%, any more in those directions? I think Morkel's suggestion of trying a b&w is worth exploring, especially since it's this month's theme.

Hi Andreas, like the POV and framing, a nice change from previous captures, like it.

Andreas - this is a beauty!

Love the transparency of the water splash and those eyes above the wave, I am happy with the composition as is and the colours are superb, nice and sharp, very well processed and such an attractive image - congrats my Boet!!!

I wonder how many surprises still in those folders? Looking forward to your next post:)

    Warmest regards,

Your African Sister (not in the dark tonight and yep, generator installed and on stand-by!)

    Hi Andreas

Bit late on this! (was working on generator...)
Love the angle and eye contact.
SS just fast enough to freeze action and slow enough to create a stunning bow wave.
DOF works well- you must have been close to have only this much DOF with f8!
The left eye looks a bit opaque- is it the light or does this animal have a condition?
    Get better soon, Buthi!
    Regards

    Andre.

B&W for me too I think. Morkel nailed that one for sure.
Love the eye contact and the framing and splashes.
    Very nicely done!
    TFS!
