    Jonathan I always find these birds difficult does not look like you have the same problem. Might try to brighten the head on the bird on the right but would be very happy if it was mine.

    Love the bird with the wings up.Perfect exposure and love the muted color palette.
    Agree with Keith about lightening the left bird's head.
    I would clone out the 3 white blobs in the water. I find my eye goes to the one just below the head of the right bird.

    I also would get rid of the white blobs and do just a bit more lightening/highlighting.

    I wonder if adding a light catchlight for the right bird would work? Agree about white blobs. For me, the only one that stood out was the one above and between the birds. I know they're natural, it's your call.

    Excellent interaction in the perfect dark/light bird shooting light!
