    Default Theme: Little Pink Flower

I don't know if this qualifies for the theme.

These little flowers were blooming along the side of the road in Oregon in early June.
    Nikon D300, 18-200 lens at 150mm.
I don't remember what I did, except that I sharpened the little flower, used no textures, and applied Zoom Blur.

    Honest critiques welcomed.

Yes I certainly think it would qualify for the theme. I will change it Anita. I really like the colours and the subtle effect of the zoom blur. It looks like a geranium to me. The zoom blur gives it a feeling of growth and new life to me, I like it a lot.

This is lovely, Anita. I wouldn't change a thing. I also like the subtle use of the zoom blur and the touches of pink in the background. Very creative.

Anita, I like the main elements of this image very much: particularly, the blurred bg. To my eye, the amount of bg is a bit too much for the little flower. Instead of typing a paragraph, I took the liberty of making a few changes to your original. I cropped a bit from the left and right and added canvas to the top. I'm not certain if such behavior is appropriate for this forum.

Gary: I like your crop very much, better than mine. Thank you! This type of of behavior is perfectly acceptable on this forum!

Always excellent to see other takes! But I have to vote for the extra breathing room of the OP on the bottom and left. I like to top and right on the RP. (How's that for straddling the fence...)

Anita -- this is just gorgeous! I love this sort of soft focus and the colors are wonderful!
