Default Surprise - A Blur from Italy

Hi, folks, I'm back from an amazing month in Italy (Lucca was my home base). I've started processing images and one that was taken early in the trip that I liked was of course, a blur Lucca is an ancient walled city and you can walk or ride your bike on the wide avenue that circles the city. In fact, it is always packed with people (both Luccans and tourists doing just that). It is one of my favorite cities of all the many that I visited while I was there. The walk is lined with trees and I believe each direction (north, south, etc.) are planted with different kinds of trees. I posted one at twilight from my last trip. This one was taken during the day but in the shade. I was able to capture buildings from outside the wall in the background (and those are mountains in the far distance) while shooting this one.
I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Welcome back! I hope you had a great time! I like the strong blacks and verticals of the tree trunks, and the mountains in the bg are beautiful. I really like the blur of the building too. Looking forward to more images Cheryl!

Cheryl, it's good to have you back. I like the solid base of the image, the strong vertical line of the trees and the contrasting horizontal bands of foliage. The bg building and mountains provide a subtle addition of color. Well done

You do a wonderful job with blurs, and are responsible for helping me learn to appreciate them. This image is no exception.

Thanks, Jackie, Gary and Anita. Anita, I'm glad you're learning to appreciate them. I think some people (I was one) who like them instantly but for others it is an acquired taste. I have a photographer buddy who hates blurs and will never learn to like them.
