    Sanjeev:

Striking lighting. When I first glanced at it I assumed it had been flashed, but I understand the circumstances after reading the desc.

The head is really nice sharp, well exposed with good detail. The out of focus areas on the bulk of the body, because they are so bright and massive, tends to distract a bit. I would have considered pushing up the ISO a bit to get some more DOF.

You could also consider cloning out the bright highlight in lower left.

    Cheers

Hi Sanjeev - Randy took the words right out of my mouth on all fronts. Beautiful lighting and nice sharpness. Just wish for more dof and that the specular highlight was gone.

You should have been able to get at least another 2-3 stops with ISO and in return a smaller aperture with more DOF. As Randy mentioned, the large OOF areas are really overpowering. The head is razor sharp though, which kind of makes up for that.
I would try and remove the OOF highlights in the, especially the one in front of the breast.

Thanks for sharing. Keep 'em coming!

Head is nice and sharp and it looks great against that black BG. For me the OOF wing is so large in the frame that it distracts from the duck's head.

    Hi Sanjeev,
I am late to the party but agree that the OOF wing takes away from the tack sharp head.
I agree with cloning out the large specular highlight.
    Love the light.
