Nice, Dan. The bird is well exposed and sharp where it matters, and the background is excellent. You've positioned the bird well, allowing space for it to fly into and to look down. More DOF would have made this excellent photo even better. And I might crop a little off the top, perhaps half way from the top of the bird to the top of the frame.

I like the flowing lines on this one Dan, but might be tempted to see if you could get a bit more detail from the blacks on the head

Nice to see you back on Avian Dan!
I like the wing position and the good view of the tail feathers.
Great eye level view and really like the mottled BG.
I might increase the brightness or exposure just a bit to see if you can open up the blacks on the head.
I like your choice of comp but can see other options as well.

Very pleasing pose and exposure. I would like a little more room behind.
    Overall a well executed image.
    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dan, great forward wing position, and I really like the curvature of the flight pose, starting at the wing tip of the right wing flowing all the way back to the tip of the tail. It pops nicely from the BG.

Quite a unique pose with the wings forward and the flowing tail feathers. The open bill is a big plus. Nice light and BG. Nicely done Dan.
