Light wasn't great but my first time seeing Flamingos in the wild since very early childhood in Israel seeing them migrate over us on their way to Africa. I think this is a female because of her less vibrant dark pink color, more light pink. While no body part was clipped the framing at the bottom right corner was a bit tight so I added a bit of Canvas. First flamingo in flight shot, hopefully more to come down the road !

1DIII, Canon 300/2.8 with x2TCII, F/7.1, ISO 640, 1/800s, Yucatan, 2015 ( I am getting better at panning and managed to get the head very sharp so that really allows to go down to questionable shutter speeds)

Excellent DOF on the bird and I like the water droplets coming off the feet. Thanks for sharing!

Cool pose and nice exposure. I would sharpen and highlight those water drops some more....

    Nice find Dvir.
IQ is good.Nice and sharp and I like the trailing legs.
I have 2 issues with this image:
    1. Would have preferred a better wing position and
2.I find the white band intersecting at the top of the head distracting.
I would see if you can open up the shadows under the wings.
Looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful bird!

I wish for a little more room around the bird, but it still gets a pass I reckon.
Agree with Gail about the other two points.
The lighting is nice and soft.

Hi Dvir, congrats on getting your first Flamingo in flight. These guys arent easy to get in the frame if they are close to you like this. Lovely soft light, colours look good, and would like to see some more room on the RHS.

You should get to Cape Town, there are locations with thousands in the wild.
