This is an interesting critter, beautifully captured Jon. But I think that the material on the LLC detracts. I would crop to eliminate it.

Wonderful clarity and detail on the body of the snail and beautiful soft light set against a clean background. Very nicely done!

    Hi Jonthan,

Like the details and position of the snail on the perch. If mine I would try to add a bit more to LLC to see more. I guess the house and front eye of the snail is not 100% sharp so DOF could be increased or moved a bit too. TFS.

    Cheers,
    Miro

Very different and unique, for me! The snail is actually sort of cute. Makes you wonder how he fit in that shell.

I'd also like to see a little more in the LLC if you have it, but not a big deal.

Good points already made! Re. the LLC, either add more, or leave it out. It's now too little to be really part of the composition (I see how you like that it balances the snail), but large enough to form a distraction.

I am listening, when I composed the image I did consider how much or how little to include in the bottom LHC, this seemed the most pleasing to me. When I included more the snail was a little small in the frame for my taste.

I think the curve of the branch adds a lot. Snail is great also!
