Will's recent post of that oystercatcher reminded me of this one I took three years ago.
I just left my friend's place in the quarries near my house when a big afternoon storm hit. I noticed this Masked Lapwing patiently toughing it out and just could not resist taking a series of images through the passenger side window.
My seat on that site got absolutely soaked with the heavy rain, but I was chuffed nevertheless at getting a nice shot in inclement weather.
I love shooting in all conditions. Hope you like this shot.
Thanks for commenting and suggestions on my other posts.

In hindsight, I should have left a touch more room below for its feet.
Excellent shot, Akos. The long exposure worked very well here, showing the rain drops as long lines.
Nice pose, just with the right head turn.
The droplets on the body and the tip of the beak add further interest.
The feathers show nice texture.
This is great Akos, slow shutter speed but you still have got detail and sharpness, will learn from this, thanks for giving us a look, nearly forgot that droplet on the beak is icing on the cake.
Awesome work, Ákos. I love the heavy rain and the rain drop on the tip of the beak and the drops rolling down on the plumage. I agree it would be nice having a little more room below. Nice story behind the image as well that is good to read. TFS.
Lovely image. Akos. You are a hardier soul than I. Thank you for sharing. By the way... I saw a National Geographic show last night about a Cassowary bird. Wondering if you ever photographed one?
