    Taken in a small blackwater creek in the Peruvian Amazon last week.

    D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 800, 1/800s @ f/6.3 manual, Gitzo monopod from boat.

    Lovely pose, perfect head turn and a hint of interest in the BG.

    A nice light has allowed you to show of the tones all over the bird - excellent work Bill

    Nice light indeed for this stunning species.
    Good work Bill. I like it. Great HA and details. BG a bit too smooth though perhaps? Did you run NR? But it's not a biggie, so I wouldn't sweat too much over that.

    Thanks everyone. Light was often not friendly on this trip: too mottled or dark under the canopy, harsh in the tropical sun. But it cooperated on this one. Yes, Akos, I almost always run NR on the BG, as I did here.
