This is from today. I saw the little ones scattered around in the reeds but getting a clean image of any of them was impossible.
I had a few shots of the mother carrying food instead.
    Thanks for looking.

I would try to move the bird a bit closer to the left edge rather then center.
Great shot otherwise Karl. I like the food, definitely adding a lot of interest mate.
    Well done and TFS

Yes, a crop from the left would work for me. Lovely reeds and mood. And a nice katydid. Just a bit less of a head turn would be perfect for me. a

Karl have not seen the female before, really like the pose and the bird is nice and sharp, very nice.

    Thanks for all the comments.
I was wondering if a horizontal would be a good cut.

Nice image Karl! I like the vertical with the loose crop over your repost. I agree with Akos and Arthur's composition suggestion with the OP. I like the perch, pose, catch, exposure and reeds.

Hi Karl, love the placement here, and the food item a huge bonus. I do like the strands of OOF grasses coming up into the frame. Before reading any comments, I too felt moving the bird more to the left wont harm the image.
