    Fuji S5, 200-400 @ 400 mm, hand-held, ISO 800, f8, 1/800, manual exposure mode, no flash.

    There was just enough time for me to swing my camera around to catch this ( I don't know if I could do that if my camera was on a tripod). Whatever settings I had used for my previous shot were the same for this one. It was a back-lit scenario and so, the sky being the background, looks all white now.

    BTW, this is not a composite. There were two of them taking off from the water to get onto the trail.

    This is lovely! Really like the wing on the first duck, nice feather detail, neato image!

    Kinda wish the seconds ducks one wing had been out more and the ducks were more toward you instead of away, still REALLY like it!

    I like it Desmond Even with the birds landing away this image works for me. You were probably close to two over for this one so it worked great!!!!

    btw do not hesitate to try this images form a tripod !!! With practice you will do fine. Just make sure your lens is balanced !!
