Hi Dvir - Looks like this was a tough one to capture. I'm guessing that you were walking and the howler was up in the canopy which has led to the steep angle. Unfortunately, this just isn't working for me with the oof foliage being too dominant and a distraction. Looks like light was at a real premium and as a result the monkey itself is somewhat dark and lacking detail in the shadow areas but those are the areas most visible. Btw please also include your shutter speed.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Dvir - nice light hitting the monkey's face here. I agree the angle isn't ideal and exposure on the blacks could be improved (perhaps you didn't want to recover too much from the shadows given the 1D3)
The OOF foliage doesn't bug me as much, but perhaps in an ideal world it would have been at the top, masking the high key sky while revealing the tree trunk as a base?

Hi Dvir -- I would agree with Rachel here ! must have been a difficult situation for you to capture this image ! I have never seen this specie and is highly unlikely that i might ever see this one in wild , so TFS this with us and keep posting !

Hi Dvir, perhaps just tracking and waiting for the subject to emerge into a better and more open clearing if that was possible would have better a better option. As presented the OOD lower half is distracting and as rachel mentioned, rather dominate, may be a 16 x 10 format where you loose a lot of the bottom half could be an option?

Hi Dvir , from my POV always very difficult to get a pleasing image when shooting from bottom upwards , does not matter what subject .
You have nice detail in the howler and i am fine with the overall comp and colors .
But it does not really work for me because of the steep angle , but for sure i would have taken it , too.

    Hi Dvir,
The other guys pretty much summed up my thoughts.
Nice attempt, but I know you are capable of better stuff.
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more.
