Hand held Canon 1DX Canon 180mm macro Auto ISO 400 1/500 sec f9 (DPP4 processed just a crop and sharpen and a clone at the base of the grass stem in CS6)
I spotted this dragonfly as I was walking Barney in the fields at the back of the house. It is still the only one I have seen in my immediate locality and not a single one yet on the garden pond.
I took several images it landed on various grasses some of which were more photogenic than others, luckily it landed where I could get a relatively clear background. f9 was chosen to minimise background detail, at f11 and f16 it was too apparent.
    All C&C welcome.
