    nice looking bird, tassilo!! looks a little oversharpened to me? could be wrong. too bad about the light coming from the right. would love to see just a little more light on the left side of the bird.

    Fully agree with Harold !!! Important to obtain a good sun angle or fill flash !!!

    Not sure is the over sharpening is caused by going over because of the converter? I never had much luck with the combination.

    Great pose, perch and good-looking specimen. Adding to the other comments, I would crop a bit off the right to get the bird out of the center.

    @ Harold: I will try another postprocessing/sharpening

    @ Alfred: combination of the zoom 100/400 with an extender is always only second choice, therefore I used f:11 to get best sharpness

    @ Axel: I will try the crop - my first intention when creating the picture was a symmetrical image
