Beautiful soft light Karl. I love the comp too. I think it all works well.
I always thought your name was Hungarian, so checked your profile and there....

Just the keep the Hungarian influence strong here is another comment:).
I love the mood of this image with the soft light and the environment. The cloudy days can present different opportunities. Good work, Karl.

The inclusion of elements from the habitat (just the right amount) makes this image beautiful and unique, good details/sharpness.
I would get rid of the lone strand that is touching the feet (small detail but it enhances the image). everything else is good, it does appear to have a magenta cast on my screen

Hi Karl,
What a beautiful environmental image. The grasses are lovely.
Great POV and lovely head turn.
IQ is excellent.
I think the image has a blue cast as opposed to a magenta cast. The colors on the bird look too blue/purple to me. Here in NS, the bird is greyer.

Gail

Thanks Gail.
I removed most of the blue. When I went to 100 percent with the removal, it started looking not very good, so I went back to about sixty percent.

I love the mix of grasses/plants and the nice airy feel to the setting...You see so many images of this species on fenceposts and wire, that I really appreciate the perch here....The whites on the belly and throat are a bit blue, but the whites on the tail tip look perfectly...just had to do with the light source I guess, even though it appears quite diffused. Composition wise, I prefer the original post.

Love the feel of this image and the fg/bg grass adds a lot. Lovely environmental image, perfect DOF and head turn. It looked a bit blue to me too.

I like the setting, composition, HA, IQ and BG. I too think its a bit on the blue side. Very well done Karl!
