    Captured in early morning light in the Buffalo Grass at the mouth of the Mkuze River, KZN, South Africa, 31 March 2015. Feathers a bit ruffled from preening.

    Canon 5DIII + 600 mm f/4 II + 1.4x III extender, hand-held from a vehicle.
    Manual, spot metering, spot AF, AI Servo, f/7.1, 1/640 sec, ISO 500.
    Processed with DPP4 and PS Elements.

    Another great looking bird Ian from your trip to South Africa. The details, colours and sharpness on the bird look real nice against the colours of the perch and BG. I like how it is perched on the clump of grass, which shows the bird off perfectly. Well done

    Very nice Ian.
    Love the colors and the BG.
    Nice perch as well and so nice to see the feet.
    I could see a version with the bird moved a bit to the right but lovely as is,

    I an that's a cracker - well done. The only negative suggestion is one that was beyond your control and that is the dry grass going over the tail, everything else spot on.
