Blast from the past, 4/06 to be exact and shortly after Hubby said 'you really have improved and worked darn hard, go ahead and get your 400, yea I cried..You just knew there was a story here didn'tcha:) Was made as a RAW image and I'm sure my post skills are better now, I just pulled it off my website and resized. Warts and all it is still probably my fav image

    Critique away!

    20D, 400f5.6@f5.6, ISO 200, 1/640

PS. the BG is a dark wood building

Luscious wings Nonda !!!! I would love it also !!! Would only work the head for even light and more detail. Images with a well lit bird and dark bg are very appealing !!!! Big Congrats !!!! .... might also want to smooth the bands ing the bg !!!

Hope you did save all the RAW files for reworking some !!!

The lighting makes this photo stands out...well-lit bird with a dark background. I wish I had one like this.

Beautiful! Personally I really like the bands of colour in the background.

Thanks! The bands of color are the wood slats of the building, just a bit of light hitting them.
