    Default Forster's Tern hovering

I'm not sure if his black head disqualifies him, but I'll post it anyway. This single tern was fishing in the same small pond with the Snowy Egret that I posted a few days back. I liked the white bird against a pleasing green background, but he was too low in the frame in the original capture, so I had to move him up a bit for comp.

Fantastic pose, very good exposure on darks and whites. Really nice bg as it makes the bird stand out.

The BG is such a nice color and makes the tern really POP.
    Good PP work.
I might be tempted to increase the exposure on the bird about 1/3 of a stop while masking out the rump. Head and eye area are a bit dark.
Love the hovering pose and the streaming tail feathers.

Nice one, Bill. Like the forward extension of the wings and the fanned tail feathers. You captured the moment before the plunge perfectly.

Did you do something with the eye to bring it out? It looks like the steely eye given by flash, which I doubt you had used.

Love the pose and the BG really makes the image. I think Gail's suggestion is really good.

    Thanks for sharing Bill

Thank you all for your helpful comments.
Gail, I agree. No time to repost now but I will go back to the master and brighten just a bit.
Akos, there was a very indistinct catchlight which I brightened; perhaps too much.
