    Default White-tail Kites

From 2013. Sadly they haven't nested here since, and seem to be scarce everywhere. Food supply has been affected by the drought on the west coast. Canon 5D3, 600II + 1.4X, Wimberley II. About 36% of full frame.

Not tonight dear, I have a headache.

First of all, great title!!! Love the interaction of this lovely pair. Cool perch for the female. Sorry to hear you don't have them near you any more. You had some great images back when they were!!! My fav of this series is the first for sure!

Wow, Diane!!! Just amazing! To think you had such images in a folder... is this the first time you share those, and have you thought of sending them to a birding magazine?

Awesome capture of those kites and love the behaviour aspect, also the way in which the female (why do I think it is a female???) grasps tightly with her talons on that cone, balancing so precariously, she seems to be only concerned with the "argument"...

Thank you so much for sharing this, I feel really privileged to view so many special images in this Forum, amazing interaction captured and perfect continuity within the sequence - just awesome, Diane

    Kind regards,
