We found this couple bringing food in every few minutes to a nest which was well hidden so we never saw the actual nest.
They have been nesting close to this boardwalk for years now.
    Thanks for looking.

I like the HA, lunch, details and composition. The BG is nice too but if it were mine I would blend in the line behind the bird just above the higher branch. Very well done Karl!

Other than what appears to be quite strong day light, the image is really nice and sharp, well composed. Solid work IMO.
    Great stuff Karl!

Strong light indeed. Nice image for the circumstances. Could you tone down the perch a bit more?

Thank you Jim, Lorant and Akos.
Yes, by the time we got out of the forest to the river's bank, it was already kind of late to shoot.
But what else can you do 175 km from your home on a day trip.

Harsh light that gave you some burnt highlights on the throat and perch - perhaps they are recoverable in post. All else looks good: comp, details, prey item, BG.

Nice one Karl., this has happened to me in Africa.. I underexposed a full stop., or, you could say I exposed for the perch., it worked out well.
