This was early morning on Isle of Mull, I was awakened by the early sun, so I sneaked out the bed, leaving my wife sleeping Got clothed, grabbed the camera and went out. Nothing much was doin, but I managed to get a few shots of this blackbird, the perch was unsightly, thats the reason I cropped most of it out.

Thanks for looking and the comments on my Gull image, much appreciated

Lovely image, Will. Your exposure of the blacks looks good. Thank you for sharing.

A very plump looking Blackbird. I like the sharpness, exposure and composition. I would blend in the one straight line behind the wing in the BG. Nice image Will.

I'd leave a bit more room below anyway Will. The perch looks fine to me. It's a city kind of a bird as far as I am aware so it suits IMO.
    Really beautiful details.
If I were you, I would have tried to take a step or two to the left to not have the OOF black in the BG.
But that's not a big deal anyway.
    Great work Will!

I am a big fan of relaxed and puffed up birds Will, this fits the bill nicely, great piece of work.

Lovely natural pose Will I like the shot. If it were mine I would lower the highlights on the feet and maybe just have a look see at the bill and check out the luminance and or saturation to get a bit more detail.
