    This bird was resting on a thatched roof which is protected with a wire mesh overlay, not the best of perches I know.

    Canon 7D Mk 2 Canon 100-400 Mk 2 1.4x Extender

    1/500 @ f 11 ISO 800

    RAW converted in ACR Sharpened and small crop in CS 6

    Very nice details on the bird David. I love the sharpness and colours. I would give the bird more room to breath. Nice, well done and thanks for sharing

    Nice shot, the light is a little harsh (but at least you have light - there's been none here for the last few days!). If you can loosen any crop I would as the tail appears to have been clipped.

    What a colorful bird and nice pose. . The light is looking pretty harsh in this image. I would like to see a looser crop. I think if you had stepped back some it would have helped to cut off the angle and to give the bird more room in the frame.
