    Nicely presented, I would try to lower the highlights a little and also lower the brightness of the stalk. I don't know what your flash setting was but I would try to reduce it a little, when I use fill in flash it is usually at around -1.3 to 2.0EV, this produces a more subtle effect.
    I am not familiar with the name, I guess it it not too dissimilar to the female broad bodied chaser??

    Excellent! I agree with Jonathan about bringing down the brightness on the stalk.
