    Default Eastern Towhee.

There were many broken off branches on the forest floor as a reminder of the winter ice storms.
This perch was one of them.
    Thanks for looking.

Awesome bird. Sharpness, exposure, and comp look fine. A bit steep of an angle though (or it appears that way), and I d try to blend away the two pale areas along the top. Was flash used by any chance?

A lovely Towhee image with a nice alert pose. I'll second Daniel's comments. I also wondered about flash.

Thanks, Daniel. I rarely use flash lately so as to make my gear lighter but this time yes, I used fill flash on an integrated 4th Generation arm.

Thanks Daniel. Yes, I used fill flash at -3.0.
I just checked the original again. This branch actually was still attached to the tree and was not on the ground as many others were.

Lovely portrait. My first thought was I see flash or possibly reflection of snow. Super image, Karl.

What an IQ. Very nice use of flash and great BG. Well done, Karl.

Not a very nice perch Karl and a very steep angle. Looks a little bright to me overall too.

It is bloody sharp as though.
