    Default Horned Grebe

The local marina provides excellent opportunities to get close these Horned Grebes. They stay for no more then two weeks and the best time to see them is during a weekday when there's hardly a crowd.

If a lower angle was not possible, I would move him up in the frame. Cropping from the top and then left might be an option. Nice details and that breeding plumage is wonderful to phtoograph.

Sweet shot Ramon, awesome light, details, wonderful angle .. with more reflection and less room over its head, this might work better. (my suggestion.)

I have noticed in the past that many photographers keep the subect low in the frame, by habit.. wondering if this is the case?

Best wishes sir, its been a while!

I agree that the subject higher in the frame, or photographed at a lower angle (if possible) would have been great. Excellent subject with a beautiful breeding plumage. Good details, well rendered colours.

For me the angle is the killer but if you can get low, then this could rock in another frame!
