    This inconspicuous and very loud species is fast becoming one of my favorite birds. They can be found from the US Mid-Atlantic states to northeastern British Columbia. When I'm out looking for particular birds, the Ovenbird seems to tag along belting out it's call. In fact their quite plentiful foraging for food on the ground in the forest. C&C welcome.

    D4s, Nikon 500mm + 1.7 tc, 1/400, f 8, ISO 400, flash fill, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    Nice exposure, perch and background. If only it had taken a step or two to its left and turned its head slightly more toward you.
