Taken today---The curse has been broken--After making many trips to see the shuttle take off I succeeded.

Not up to the caliber of other shuttle images I have seen but I was happy to see the thing fly

    Michael,

Im not really that familiar with the area---I parked on Highway 50 pointed back towards 95--walked about a 1/2 mile to A1A to where the Vehicle Assembly Building was straight ahead. The next time I will try for the launch tickets from NASA that Rod Ostoski mentioned a few months ago.

I really didn't feel like shooting yesterday--but then I realized that there aren't that many launches left for the shuttle. One of the beauties of the spot was that I could walk back to the car in 15 minutes and was on I-95 45 minutes after the launch.

Jetty Maritime Park is the place i'm thinking of. It's on the northernmost point of Cocoa Beach.

Good for you!! I would love to see this but the chances are low and not too many left as you mentioned! Wonder what will come next after the shuttle. They certainly will not do away with the space program.....
