Least Sandpiper locked up with the landing gear down
Lots of shorebirds hitting the Delaware Bay right now to feed on horseshoe crab eggs. These guys are tiny,I'm pretty sure they are the smallest of all shorebirds and come in fast and low across the water then throw on the brakes at the last split second to hit the shoreline making them a blast to try and shoot laying prone on the beach. Canon 7DII,500f4,ISO500,f6.3@2000sec. Thanks for looking and any input.

Nice sharp capture with good details and colors. Wish for a bit better HA but a clean shot none the less. Well done.

Hey, Joe! Fancy seeing you here. Great shot. Tack sharp and these little guys are really quick & tough to capture in-flight. Well done. The only suggestion is... I'd love to see a little more the bird's eyes - either by the head or the entire body turned a tad.
Thanks guys I tried it center to start with and found it to bland for my eye.
Jerry I'm sure our paths will cross more often(eagle time for sure) as we moved to within 10 minutes of the dam just before Christmas :) If you know any good people looking for a place to stay close by let me know as we have a couple rooms we can rent for weekends etc.
