I like the mood and sense of vulnerability and might crop a bit off the top. According to the histogram it is a bit overexposed. What species is this?

Incredible image and the vulnerability of these little ones really is emphasized in this image. I agree the lighting is alittle harsh in this capture but love the story it tells. Thanks for sharing this awesome capture Adam.

    Hey Judy,
Thank you for the comments. When i took this picture yesterday it was cloudy and raining,i was using manual exposure @ +1 2/3 of the sand, i was trying to get that dreamy soft look for the FG and BG. By the way, i saw your pictures from the Pantanal, very nice. I am Brazilian and the pantanal is my list of places that i need to visit.

I agree it looks too bright, but I like the composition. The poor little one seems to have been left out into the void... I know mamma was most likely not too far away :-)

A bit bright and I would be temped to go pano with this. Nice job getting a least tern chick in the open rarely see that here.

Simply a perfect piece of art in my eyes. The high-key treatment is spot on, and the use of space is moving and dramatic. To heck with selling this to a magazine. It belongs printed large in a big room so one can stand back and simply absorb the impact.

I, too, love the harsh high-key look here. That just totally plays up the vulnerability of that lone baby chic. Beautiful work!

I really like this one Adams. That small little chick in the great big world. Excellent capture and presentation.
