I visited one of the five Osprey nests in our area.
I was surprised seeing one of them carrying a large
stick to the nest while the other already was sitting on the eggs.
    Thanks for looking.

That is a mighty stick, Karl.

Love the wingspan, not sure if it's my monitor but the whites on the legs look hot.

Thanks Ramon. I checked and found that the brightest area on the legs was 249. (255 is blown)
I like to push the histogram values to the right with the 7D II to avoid noise.

The stick really tells the story with this Osprey shot, too bad it wasn't clear of the right wing but no big deal. The wingspread and spread of the tail feathers are both great adds. IQ looks good to me, I checked the whites and you're at the high end, but not blown out. ETTR is the way to go. I love the details in the feathers. Well done Karl.

That's some stick this bird is carrying Karl, great outstretched wings and splayed tail ,all looks very good from where I'm sitting.

Hi Karl , a neat shot with the long stick , well captured .
Overall a bit light and thin in the tones from my POV , agree the whites do look a light , not blown though . If this was mine i would try to multiply the whites, 1/4 tones and the mid tones at different opacities .

Light looks a little strong, but you've got some really nice action with that big stick. Love the concentration and the wing position.
It is a long stick alright. Check out how big the balls are on our Aussie Osprey in this image. :D :D :D (hope you don't mind me sharing) it's from a long time ago just down the road from home. I really don't know how he carried it. They never nested, but moved about 30 miles across the city and lost their chicks two years in a row. Just inexperienced young birds we thought.
