Ben - Nice portrait in beautiful warm light. If it were mine I would open up the midtones slightly particularly in the snout area, it brings out just a bit more detail.

Don't forget to give your thoughts about other people's images.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Beautiful light, Ben. Nice glossy nose on this spotty and some traces of blood here and there...Well composed and I really like the space.

I agree with Rachel, there's some more detail you could bring out in the eye and nose area. BG is great and the colours are awesome, very well captured

    Kind regards,

    Hi Ben
Love the moment and the side profile captured.
Late/early red light makes this image.
Took the liberty to try a RP, just my take..(hope you do not mind..)
I was taught to always have detail in the darks-ETTR. One risks blowing HL, but is is worth it, check Histogram and blinkies in camera, adjust EV accordingly.

    Gaussian @ 5px on BG @ 65% opacity.
Reduced Sat layer on blues (they were creeping into the shades)
    Masked curve layer.
    Dodge and Burn layer.
Tried to get more detail in darks and eyes with action.
Reduced HL with masked exp layer.
    Selective sharpening for web.
    WDYT?
    Regards

    Andre.

Nice light and side profile here, Ben! Where was this taken?
Andre's repost has done the trick as per Rachel's suggestion.
I'd love to have your thoughts on some images as well - we can all learn from each other's perspecives
