Nice capture! Any details on equipment, settings, etc? I'd like to see what a little boost in shadows might do for the one wing but a nice sharp image.
This looks great on my iPhone! Have been traveling and will be back home tonight and will look and comment tomorrow.
Looks great on my big monitor, too! Good improvement implementing Warren's suggestion. I think you could take some off the top and quite a lot off the right. Your composition would work well with some detail in the BG, but with nothing happening in those areas, I think it would work well to present the bird more centered.
The bird also seems to be flying a bit downhill. I'll often rotate an image like this just a little -- a slightly more uphill trajectory adds some energy to an image, but that's purely a matter of choice.
YES!!
Hi Kevin... I've enjoyed the comments and subsequent image revisions here...beautiful, clean shot! (and I REALLY like that the duck is now pointed slightly "up") One super-tiny item from me... there is a bright white dot, front lower corner near the eye, which might be nice to clone out.

Nice capture of a beautiful bird. I've learned from each of the comments. Thanks for posting this, Kevin.
