Simple but nice composition and spot on exposure, Ed.

I love the thin perch here, really nice. Good BG overall except for the brighter streaks at left. Good details. A better head angle would have made the light splash on it nicely, and I'd have preferred the subject a bit lower in the frame.

Nice one Ed. Good pose and head angle, and I like the curved perch and squarish crop. I do wish for a lower sun more directly at your back but even so you've managed to capture good detail in both the blacks and the sunlit reds, which isn't easy in such bright light. I'd like it even more if you toned down that bright background twig at upper left.

Ed just a slight head turn that's all for me, very nice indeed.

Nice one Ed. Love the blacks on that green BG and blending smartly with the red and yellow. Great perch. Nice work

Honestly Ed would be very pleased if it was mine with just the OP.

Both look fine to me Ed. I like larger birds on small perches and some gentle subject matter in the BG
    Smart looking bird
