    Taken a few weeks ago,I know the bramble is close to the tail,but these birds don't show very well,and I was happy to get this,cannon500mm IS,L,F4,7D MK1,tripod,700MM FL,iso640,1/640S,F5.6,crop,sharpened,HL,SD.

    The light and the shadows work well here.
    Perfect HA and lovely singing pose.
    I like the way the BG is lit up by the sun.
    A nice image and I can't help but think "if only that branch wasn't there"!

    Well done Chris . Good funare they not?
    Georgeous light on this one. The chest is maybe a wee bit bright but thts bviously the prevailing conditions. No big deal.

    I'd be happy to get that shot too, in spite of that pesky branch. While I'm wishing for things I'll go ahead and wish the bird had posed with the sun over your shoulder so that the illumination was more even. (And if you ever figure out how to get them to do that for you, let us know how, please!.) The pose and color temperature of the light are wonderful. Good detail, too.
