My wife and I are on the Natchez Trace. I was compelled to see and feel Spanish Moss. This was a bed roll on the back porch of the Mount Locust Inn and Plantation. It is one of the oldest structures on the trace, dating back to the late 1700s. I'm certain all were able recognize the site from this image. PP started with Topaz Simplify Watercolor II and a black line layer blended with multiply. An opaque masked layer of the original image was added. With reduced opacity, some detail was brushed back in the red blanket.
Great image! The blanket pops nicely without being over-saturated. The colors work nicely together. The opposed horizontals and verticals are very effective, and the composition is good. Very nicely done.
Depending on which direction you're going, it looks like you are/were at the beginning or end of the Trace. It's a wonderful journey and should be beautiful at this time of the year. Enjoy the rest of your travels.
