Impressive stuff as usual Alan. Lovely topside photo of a not very common bird to see in flight (at least for me). Top notch stuff.
WOW! I have never seen a shot of a roadrunner in flight like this.
The topside view shows an iridescence in the feathers that I didn't know was there.
The beautiful flare of the primaries, the prey in the mouth, the cactus that balances the image perfectly all add up to one he** of a shot.
10/10 from me.
I could see a version with the little black blobs in the RLC removed but superb as is.

Amazing flight shot Alan. I wouldn't change anything. Love the cactus. Beautiful details on the bird and the prey in the mouth is a big bonus. Great work

I have never seen a Roadrunner in flight image and I have a feeling that there aren't many out there. Great work, Alan.
WoW that is just plain awesome! Like the little shadow on the cactus but would take out those dark blobs just under and in front of the bird.
Awesome image Alan! I like the wing position, prey, IQ, cactus and composition.
Now I'm really convinced Wile E. Coyote will never catch the Roadrunner!! Superb flight image. Was the lizard placed as enticement by any chance?
Nice one Alan, love the Roadrunner. Thank you for sharing.

I loved the frame with the scorpion, but this one, with topside flight view and cactus, may be even better if that's possible. Well done as usual.
Perfect comp and light, nice work, Alan.

Hey Dan, Yes. Roadrunners will not perch on prickly pear, so I placed a lizard on top, knowing that it would be a fast grab shot. Thanks.
