Hi all shot this punky looking Coot youngster some day ago at "my" local lake . I was watching other youngsters already some weeks ago , but never got the chance for a closer look . So i had two wait for a breeding pair that has chosen the right side of the lake for their nesting area .
I really like the little punker in the little Coots .

I like the angled pose, details, sharpness and water texture. The variations of the hairs on this guy really make the image special. I think the image could use a little CCW rotation. Excellent image Andreas!

THe water, I am sure is natural, looks funky in front of the babe, with that swirl. The reds look a little too saturated for me, well at least compared to our local coots, which appear a little paler. In any case, a wonderful, intimate photo Andreas. Congrats!

Thanks folks for your comments , as always much appreciate your input .
Well i could drop the reds a fraction , Akos you could be right that they are a tiny bit too saturated , but i leave them as they are as colors are sooooo subjective .

    Thanks again , Andreas
