Not often that you see these birds flying, they may scoot about a bit when being chased during the mating season, but this one was flying with purpose and determination down the river and out of sight.
Thanks John. I tried that but it just went grey and ugly. The sun was shining on the top of the wing and I think there was more contrast than the sensor could handle. It caught me by surprise and I was in AP with a + 1 2/3 EV. I thought it was worth showing though.

I have never seen one fly yet, so worth the price of admission for that alone.
Nice image, looks like it may be a largish crop as I am not seeing a lot of detail. Looks sharp though.
