Love the expression on the birds face Will. He is looking at you as if he has you all weighed up. Good exposure bringing out lots of feather detail. The bird is standing out well from the background. Pity we can't see his feet but it is difficult to have everything.

Wow, love this image, William. It is great and funny at the same time.
Good to see nice images when you are a prisoner of your house due to ugly weather.

I like the inquisitive pose, details, sharpness and clean BG. I'm okay with not seeing the feet and could see this as a vertical but still a beauty as presented. Well done Will!

Bit more room on the right for me mate, otherwise a very nice low level image. Lovely detail and colours. Great characters these birds! Well done!

Hi Will very cool pose of this fella .
Good choice of comp and you have good tones and nice colors . .
Have you extracted some detail in the subject with a filter ? as it it appears to be a bit grainy for ISO 800 from the 5D MK III.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated

Hi Andreas. I am sure I used Detail Extractor on a setting of 1. Looking closer, I can see slight noise under the wings, maybe too much sharpness applied after resizing?? All processing with CS6.

    Thanks for commenting.
