Apparently even wild dogs play fetch though they don't have someone to throw the stick for them and also use bigger sticks. These 2 members of the large pack playing at the dam decided to pull the branch away from the water's edge and worked cooperatively to do so.

Hi Rachel , nice playful scene of the doggies .Like the overall colors and tonal range with good detail extracted from the shadow areas .
Agree with Loi regarding a tighter crop for more impact !!

    Nice one, TFS Andreas

Thanks Loi and Andreas, much appreciated. Yes, cropping closer or into a pano is definitely an option here and one I considered. I decided to keep this one ff but posted a closer crop of one in the sequence in the Story Sequence Forum.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

    Hello Rachel!

After a few evenings of load shedding and other electricity supply problems in my little village, I decided to try and view (again) the recent images in Wildlife, to see what everyone has been posting before it all goes dark again around here...With every power dip my heart sinks...A generator to be installed soon and that'll be the end of my fears...thanks to Andre who knows and understands my daily "need for BPN"...

I am rather jealous of your sightings from this trip... having seen quite a number of your wild dog images, I gather you have witnessed so much of their behaviour and interactions - it must have been awesome! Last Sunday we dashed to our local game reserve and missed a wild dog pack by minutes, found fresh spoor and followed it for some time but no luck, still good to know they are around and been told by one of the researchers that right now we have a number of 87 WD in Hluhluwe/Umfolozi!

This is a fun image showcasing the species' behaviour and playful character, also their ability to cooperate - well captured and processed and I am happy to have a glimpse of the environment; overall a lovely image and I just love the content, so grateful for your contribution in Story Sequences Forum which I enjoyed, tremendously, thank you again Rachel

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Rachel, I would go tighter as there does seem to be a lot of space above, a fun image and a joy to watch with all their antics and interactions. Techs looks good, but I think f/8 would have been fine???

A nice behavioural moment, Rachel! I'd shave some off the top - go pano?
Agree with Steve, perhaps even f6.3 would have been enough...
