Another of Red-crowned Cranes from Japan. This effect is straight out of the camera.

I would never have guessed this was how it looked with no processing. With the white on the cranes being indistinguishable from the background and parts of all the birds disappearing into the snow, this is really an attention-getter.

Definitely an avant hard look. Very interesting, especially right from the camera

Very cool, love that raised foot on the foremost crane, and the side by side pose. Pigeons seem to be the most universal bird of all time.

Out of the camera, very cool. Spot Metering?? If it wasn't for the title, I'd be tempted to lose the pigeons :)

Not spot metering, just the usual evaluative. Very overexposed, very dim light & I did not try to capture sharpness. It's the colors of the pigeons that allow them to stay in the image.

I agree with Dennis' comments. Not my favorite of your crane images. Lovely colors. An image to ponder.
