    Nice one Jonathan, I like the pose, placement in the frame and those thorns really speak to me. Ouch! the new leaf on the perch adds to the sense of scale. If mine, I'd be tempted to crop some off the left and a tad on the right.

    Not an easy bird for me to image. I think the perch is a bit too dominant but all else is fine.

    Bummer about the branch curving towards the front, but hey; this is an opportunistic image, so take it as is. :)
    Nice looking bird with great light and pose. Could crop tighter I think. Well done!

    Love the pose and the perch, Jon. I little bit tighter crop would be better but good as is.

    Jon agree about maybe a little tighter crop but please don't loose any of that nice orange/yellow BG,I like this.

    Thanks everyone for your feedback, your thoughts are pretty much the same as mine. I would have gone for a tighter crop but I think this is about as far as I could without losing quality. It was one of those days when I went out without the TC, and I am kicking myself because this bird was relatively obliging.
