A solid tricolored-in-flight image! Sharp, and an OK wing position. I love the head tucked onto the body. The small gap in the bill is kinda pulling my eye there, and I do wish for a better lit near wing. Still a wonderful image of a favorite heron of mine

Now that Daniel mentioned the bill. What is that blue? You could consider retouching to make it less of an eye drawing feature.
Agree about near wing. Slightly higher would have been nicer lit.
Overall a very nice and appealing shot as is.

An excellent capture. I'm OK with the wing position and I am not fussy on dark wings if by nature that is what one should expect.

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting. I looked at the image closely, the blue on the bill was a small gap about three pixels wide showing the blue of the sky. I fixed in Photoshop.
