    Default Glossy Ibis

Driving around the loop at Brigantine the other morning, we noticed a number of Ibises flying around. As we got further along the dike road we came across a gathering of scores, perhaps hundreds, of them, in one of the Brig pools. They were flying across the road in ones and twos, and usually following a predictable flight pattern. Many were against the hazy white sky, but occasionally one would fly lower, against a lovely spring forest background. Over the next 20 minutes we captured hundreds of frames; I haven't had a chance to look at them all, but the colors of this one jumped out at me. The wings look almost as if they were painted in watercolor.

    D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1250, 1/1600s @ f/8 manual, gitzo and mongoose.

Fantastic flight frame Bill. Great wing position, colors, details and a killer complementary BG color. Wow!

Nice image Bill, I love the colors of the background, very complimentary to the bird. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks John. Yes, the 7200 is a great improvement over the 7000.
